WSSA History in Brief - The World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) was formed in 2001 for the purpose of promoting and governing sport stacking around the world. The association was originally titled World Cup Stacking Association (WCSA). In 2005, the name was changed to its current WSSA in response to growing awareness that stacking is considered a sport.
What does a WSSA event look like? - The pinnacle sport stacking event - the World Sport Stacking Championships held each northern hemisphere Spring is hosted by the WSSA. This event draws competitors from across the globe to attempt to set verified World Records in their age groups/divisions and be declared world-class in sport stacking.
Official Equipment - Speed Stacks is the official sponsor and equipment provider of the WSSA. Speed Stacks equipment is the only equipment approved for use in WSSA sanctioned and recognised events. Official Speed Stacks equipment can only be purchased from Speed Stacks (NZ) in New Zealand and equipment is not available in retail stores.
